Good day member ,

My family is planning to relocate to Johor Bahru in the next three - four months. Please advise which are the medical aid /health insurances that we should consider. I’m looking for good quality comprehensive cover

Thank you

Once you get your visas you can purchase local medical card. But it is only valid for hospitalization treatment.  Otherwise its pay-as-you-go system.

The medical cards are based on sum insured principle - so you can choose what coverage you want and there will be maximum expenses involved

To check the main players in the marketplace this website is quite useful. But it does take some research and comparison.

If you get offered services by an Agent, remember they are on commission and tied to one insurer.  Arranging your policy yourself will save you 10% as that amount is already built into insurances to pay Agents.

Thank you so much
