Accomodation in Oslo for 4 months only

Hello All,

I will be moving to Oslo soon with my wife and kid.
I am looking for decent but inexpensive (approx. NOK 10000) accommodation (not shared) for short term (about 4 months), but am facing the below problems:

1) most of the apartments are offering min 1 year lease with 2-3 months of security amount to be paid
2) short term stays or vacation rentals sites are offering apartments that are very costly

It would be great if someone can help me with the same.

Thanks!

that's a very tight budget for apartments in Oslo in general, especially with 3 people. I rented a studio long term for that price a few years ago.

But I recommend checking Finn.no for "korttidsleie", which means short term rental. I did find a few but it's definitely going to be difficult to achieve that budget. You might need to look outside Oslo at some of the neighboring towns like Drammen.

here's at least the Oslo short term rental search to get you started https://www.finn.no/realestate/lettings … rttidsleie
