You mean in term of page loading??? If the image(s) size is(are) properly optimized, then I guess it won't take too long to load.

@ Yud .. dont we have a seperate section for posting pics? or is it okie to post them in blog posts

You can always submit your photos on the Picture section of the site.

I guess you can share some of your pictures on the blog itself provided they are appropriate.
