I’m hoping to find numbers on what I might expect to pay for local taxes if I settle in the Rincon area.

You mean property taxes?
Each town sets a rate, but most is insignificant compared to US property taxes. I pay 4,600 in my house in Massachusetts a year. I expect under 500 in Ceiba once my house is build.

if registered as your primary residence and under a specific house value, your property tax can be ZERO for 5 years if you do the paperwork.

From what I have found, I expect the same low rates. Trying not to leave any surprises in my math. I was born and raised in Amesbury, MA

I have a friend who moved to las marias
12 acres with a building with 4 units  with
3 bedrooms in each. He registered it as a finca and he pays $8 a year for taxes

Sandra is right, it all depends how it is registered and how it is zoned. But either way, your property taxes will be a lot lower.
