Best season to move to Qatar

Post new topic

Priscilla

Hello,

Many expats choose to move to Qatar at a specific time of the year, and we invite you to share some tips about the best seasons to move to the country.

What is the best season/time of the year to move to Qatar, and why?

How do rent prices fluctuate based on the different seasons?

Is there a change in the job market depending on the seasons, such as job availability?

Are there any seasonal festivals or cultural events that would allow you to learn about the country?

What are the times of year to avoid for expatriation to Qatar?

During which season did you move? How did it go?

Thank you for sharing your experience,

Priscilla

although rents  are lowest during summer (May-September, and the last 2 years to November)  , but its the hardest season to survive in QA
even hotels make a great deals during summer, the only thing gets expensive is a flight ticket specially in students summer vacation, that time when you feel no one in Doha, and there is no traffic,

winter is almost the best season ,
all the outdoors activities like festivals, camping , fishing, etc,
but also prices jump higher

The best Season to move to Qatar is a period between Nov till March for many reasons :

- Weather is catastrophic during summer time ( from Mai To Oct ) , temperatures are above 50 and humidity is very High , it will be really tough to move around to look for a job or simply discover the country ( Qatar do not have a metro facility yet) .

- During the summer time , most of expats leave the country for their annual vacation , this will make a drop in business volume , which means that opportunities of getting a job will be less .

- Almost all cultural festivities are scheduled in winter time ( Concerts , public festivals , carnavals ... ) . you can still have access to this activities in indoor places like hotels .

me I moved here on March while the weather was acceptable especially for someone who was using a public transportations mostly cabs in the beginning .

Thanks ,

Hi Again

Qatar is a marvellous country.  If you want to move to Qatar as a job seeker there is no any seasonal time frame but avoid coming in the holy month of Rhamadan unless if you have a job in hand. but if you want to visit Qatar as a tourist you could come to Qatar in between December and march which is weather condition is very nice. the hot season is starting to continue from may end onwards to October end. also, Qatar is organizing many events during the year which you will able to find out in http://www.decc.qa/events/  if you are looking for the events you may come according to your events plan. Qatar got so many places and so many beautiful beaches which tourist can visit and enjoy. there are lots of activities that people can do and enjoy in Qatar, but the person who is visiting Qatar must obey and respect the country law which is very important, don't forget that Qatar is the best safe country in GCC.

Thanks
