Hi,

My name is Faisal and i am from India.
I was interested in knowing if i can lease a villa for entire year in Mauritius and then rent it out to tourists. Is it permissible and ofcrs is it profitable ?

Sub letting may not be allowed. You would have to register the house as a business.

That would constitute an illegal dealing under the Landlord and Tenants Act of Mauritius. Renting properties and being remunerated for it would be considered a business and to do business in Mauritius as a foreigner, you will need the appropriate permit from the government and in some cases, from local authorities additionally.
