Hi Guys,

Where is everyone? No replies as before...

Hilton

we are here but isure all of us in the same bad situation after we lost our jobs, stuff, money

saifizlhr

Hmmm...

I Can understand, Even i lost all things that was in my room i dont whether it is there or not.

Anyways yesterday one of my friend called his Co-ordinator in Libya and he asked regarding his job. His coordiator told him that they are arranging some engineers from Russia and China to check Oil and gas facilities and after their green signal they will ask first their local people to come and rejoin and then they will contact us to rejoin our jobs.

This news is just for the foreign people who were working in Libya Oil companies but not sure about other companies like constructions or others.

RIght now they are trying their best to secure their oil companies so that they could cal back their foreign oil workers.

If anyone has the latest news pls update / share.

Thanks

Hilton

Hello hope70,

Pardon my curiosity, may I know how would you conclude the deal if ever you have find a buyer for your car :/?? As per your post you are in Italy right!

hope70

yap! in Italy...but my friends, also in Italy, who sell this car, have a friend in Tripoli who they could authorize to do all the paper-work and take the money and transfere it somehow....but, I have enough probblems of my own, so I'll leave them to find a way :-) I just did them a favour to add this post.
Regards.

hope70

ps...the car is DIESEL....and as I hear, whit diesel in Libya there are no probblems at the moment while with ordinary benzin there are...so my friends hope there are going to be some interested people.
Regards.

Yud

I guess we will make this conversation off-topic ;) Could you please post on the classifieds ;)

Palachakh

my car is there, too. I miss it so much and have very little hope indeed to see it again. Even if we come back, which is not likely, anyhow... Do you think the new government will renew contracts with Gaddafi-hired companies (read coutries)?

Now I feel they will not stop until they kick him away. Do think it will be quite safe after?

hope70

To YUD: I posted it yesterday and now I saw it has been accepted as a classified post. THanks anyway.
Regards.

I was evacuated out by my government at end of Feb - have been waiting in South Africa hoping for news to go back since then (left 90% of my things in my flat in Tripoli, which has now been bricked up by Gaddafi's goons - so my stuff now safer than ever, LOL!) - but after a small 10-day side trip into Benghazi to help out by taking in meds etc last week, have now decided to take an English teaching job for a year in Malaysia (will be teaching Libyans, so I am still in touch!!  :-) ), then will hopefully be able to get back.  I am DEF planning on going back!!!  Whether to Benghazi first (seems more stable for now) or directly back to Tripoli, only time will tell!!  :-)

Hey ya'all from sunny South Carolina where the grits are buttered and the okra fried!  I'll be heading back to Libya possibly as early as next month... but more likely by the end of the year. It will not be a settled thing though - just setting up.  I don't think I will be there on a permanent basis until summer of next year.  I wish everyone the best.

Hilton
