Hi,

I plan to shift my wife and kid from India with me to Jakarta soon. I moved here recently.

I need to work out the dependent visa quickly for school admissions. Need your help on how to go about it. What is the shortest duration possible to get the dependent visas and the best way to approach to get it done asap?

I am not yet well conversant in Bahasa.

Thanking you.

Warm Regards,

Dear Ricardo and friends,

Thank you for your kind response. I have a Kitas (work visa). Can I get my family from India to Jakarta on visa on arrival and then apply for dependent visa for them here in Jakarta? And where do I do the process and what is the procedure?

Warm Regards,

Hi.

Processing options are:

1.Visa on arrival then process visa 317 ,telex, visa chop, merp etc.

2.Telex,vitas process in india or singapore,
Merp,etc

If you need my personal assistance ,pm me.

If you think you can do it on your own, proceed to immigration.

cheers,
rick

VOA is possible

converting is another story. That's going to require a lot more paperwork, likely including proving they/you have enough cash to stay for the period the visa covers.
I have no experience in this so it's time to talk to someone who has. If time permits, I usually recommend the DIY route but this is much more complex than a spouse sponsored KITAS so start by talking to immigration and deciding from there.
