2 quakes just hit Lombok

Numbers aren't people, and the exceptionally nice people I met in Lombok are suffering a terrible time.

And here we go again...just a short while ago.  A 5.1 in northwest Lombok.

This one was different.  It was sudden jolt followed by mild tremors (as felt here in Ubud, Bali).  How this was felt in Lombok must have been frightening, as it must have been like getting a blow to the head without warning.

Just off the coast and shallow so there could be a tsunami risk

I know Indonesia is famous/ infamous for earthquakes but is this more irregular than usual for Lombok area?
I’ve spent a little time in lampung & Bengkulu area we got very small ones very regular

This is more than a little unusual.
There are loads of quakes in the area but most are small and deep so hardly noticed.
These are far more powerful, very shallow, and a lot have come at once.

2 more yesterday and last night, both above 5 and shallow.
