early departure fees or Penalty (hotel reservation)

any one know about early departure fees hotel's! for example If a guest makes a reservation for 10 nights and leaves after only 4, how the will charge...

pls. anyone know

No easy answer here....it will depend on the hotel, their cancellation policy, if you prepaid the total for the 10 days, your attitude when presenting that you want to leave and the reasons you wan to leave, the attitude of the hotel person you tell, the economic stability of the hotel, etc. Check online to see if there is a cancellation policy Normally, one would need to pay the next night. Most hotels require cancellation at least several hours before checking in, and in the case of a no show, charge one night. Your best bet is to offer to pay 5 nights if you are only staying 4.
