Hola from the Yucatan!

Hola...

My esposo and I are expats living in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. We have been here for over four years now. We live and work here (we do websites and photography and videography and mortgages...everyone here wears at least two hats) and we blog about it at www.yucatanliving.com. Merida is a strange and magical city straight out of Gabriel Garcia Marquez's books (One Hundred Years of Solitude, especially) so there is always a lot to write about.

There are so many reasons why I moved...and you know? my husband and I did an "interview" on our website (as did a lot of others) that explains some of that. So if you don't mind, I will point you there: http://www.yucatanliving.com/interviews … ringos.htm

As for putting my blog address in my profile, I thought I did that. I'll go check it out again.

Thanks, Julien!

Hi,
I love your blog, particularly the interviews, art reviews and stuff about everyday life. I started reading it after stumbling upon it doing research on moving to Mexico (you can see my new member post for info - we are considering Mexico among other Spanish-speaking countries). Merida is one city we are considering - based mostly on a great vacation to Akumal a few years ago. Do you ever get down to Hekab-Be library?
Anyway, glad you're here!

Thanks, DainaJ!
Glad you like the blog...please let us know if there is anything specific you would like to know about. Our intended audience for the blog/website is people who are moving here or thinking about moving here (or who live here already) so if there is something specific you want info on, we'd like to know that!
