Chiara Henri

Hello, I’m Chiara, 15 years old, i have the belgian nationality and my mother is egyptian but she also has the belgian nationality since she is married to my dad. My dad hasn’t been paying anything for 3 years no child support nothing. My mother is unemployed and has been struggling to pay food, clothes and my education.

We are planning to move to Belgium so that we can get our rights from my dad since there is no child support and he also got married to another woman while he is still married to my mum, the problem is that the hills are going to be to much there. Is the government going to be able to pay my school bills and us living there? Living in Egypt isnt easy at all and we seriously need an answer please! It will help so much, thanks :)

School is mainly free in Belgium.

Your mum will have to work to pay bills however.

Secal is the french Belgian agency to contact for parents who refuse to pay and be responsible for their children. Their reputation for making parents pay is good.
