Student Pass to Work Pass

Post new topic

Hakem Shubar

Hi,

I am from Libya and a fresh graduate from Multimedia University, Cyberjaya. Recently, I have get an offer from a company as fall time employee. Thus, I must get a work permit.

My questions are, what is the process of converting from student pass to work pass?

Do I have to leave the country during the process of issuing the work pass?

and how much time does it normally take?

Thank you very much in advance for your guidance.

Yes you would have to cancel the student pass and the company has to apply for the EP.

Major problem is fresh graduates don't qualify for an EP. Need a degree and 2-3 yrs relevant work experience

Thank you Gravitas for your reply.

I understand from your comment that fresh graduates (even with outstanding academic results & skills) are not allowed to get any type of work permit. Although, the company is multicultural and they have employees from many different countries.
