[Share your experience] Effective international employment websites?

Post new topic

Julien

Hello,

Do you know good websites on which I could find jobs in foreign countries?

For example, a very good website in the UK:
http://www.agencycentral.co.uk/ -> you can find here lists of recruitment companies ... very effective!
http://www.reed.co.uk/ -> receive job offers by email

I'll add them later in the "resources" part of this website...

Thank you in advance for your contribution,

Julien

I heard about this one in Asia:

Have you ever used it?

What really sucks Julien is that my primary ooccupation is mineral exploration.  I have been mostly self-employed.  Except how many places can I take that?  I'd have to find another career path.  The type of exploration I do is hard tedious work, but in other places, it's also considered illegal.

That's the main problem when you're very specialized and that you want to move to another country without a job ... It's not easy to find the job thats suits you, you often find a jobs you suit for, and not the opposite (hmm is this sentence clear?)

Yeah, that I understand.  Another few I have experience in is restaurants (waiting tables, washing dishes or cooking- I've done it all except manage, AND I HATE IT!), and in firefighting (I can't stand the idiotic interpersonal politics that exists).  I think I'd be screwed, pretty much.

I was far too specialised too. I always wish I'd trained as a plumber or as a carpenter. Skills that you can take anyway. Teaching English is the number one popular expat job I would say. But here in Greece it's badly paid and they exploit people quite badly. Not everyone but enough to make it a drag. I'm afraid I don't know any agencies in Greece for jobs.
