How long does letter of visa with references take?

Hi I'm novia. I'm 21 years old turning 22 this year. I'm hired by a company in Malaysia that has MSC status. The Hr has submitted the copy of my passport n everything and she told me it may take 14 days of business days. However, it has been more than 14 days actually. And I'm really curious about how long does it actually take for them to process it?

There is no set time. There are two stages. The first is to get approval from immigration which means they will issue a work permit. The immigration clearance system can take anything from 10 days to 40 days. After approval then a Visa With Reference has to be collected from home country Malaysian Embassy. That will take 4-7 days.

May I know is the 10-40days included weekends or it's only during business days? And will the the visa with references affected by the amount of my salary? Because my salary is below rm 3000 and I am fresh graduates

Because of your salary you will be under the Foreign Worker system. Those recruitments take a long time. A medical is required and biometric clearance.

Check for website FWCMS. It will take over one month I think to get approval
