Homeownership in Tanzania pre 1990

Hellow ! how are you? yes the new land law can apply even to land owners before 1990

How do you know this is the case? What was the law pre 1999? What happened to all the people who were affected? I need a response from someone who is either legally trained or someone who has gone through this themselves

it happened nothing to those before 1990, actually the law has been there for a longtime ( before 1990) but the old governments didn't put much emphasis on it, so the current government is implementing now

Honestly the new government is really serious so if you have an empty land, you better do something for it because I have seen it with my own eyes  , people's land is taken away

And how do I know this case? actually its the same law before 1990 and after .The issue is just a matter of implementation, before 1990 they were not serious with it but now they are very seriously indeed

So what are people doing who are caught up? What are their options? Does anyone know of good property lawyers in Dar or morogoro?
