Hi,

I'm an Indian. I have received an Offer from an Malaysian Consulting company based in KL. And they have agreed to offer 6000 RM. Will that be enough for me to sustain in Malaysia. Can I save money there? They have agreed to 2 years contract.

Can anyone help me out here...

Thanks and Regards

It depends on your lifestyle. To make best savings it would be good to share an apartment. www.ibilik.my

Check out Numbeo to see how much more expensive it is to live in Malaysia than back home.

You will pay 28% income tax until July 2019. But by following the rules (P.6 states that in Jan-July 2019 you should not exceed 14 days outside Malaysia for holiday purposes) there will be some refund later on.

This guide shows you the tax-resident income tax rates per annum (deduct RM9k personal allowance from annual salary to find your actual taxable income)
