Be sure to see other parts of the island also. Visit the North shore, the central mountains, the many small towns & villages are offtimes  neglected gems.  This is a much larger island than most realize. 10 (ten) Puerto Ricos could fit within its' borders!   Mountains higher than the tree line, over 10,000 feet high.  A curious mind is always welcome.  Enjoy the gifts that have been bestowed by nature upon us.  We only need the time to see them.

We were disappointed by the CZ.  May have had more to do with the garbage washing up on beaches at time, which lent an undeniable, unmistakable fragrance to the Zone.  The CZ  wasn't particularly clean to start with, but with the added odors?  Not for us, at least then.

To give credit due, government was conducting a massive cleanup at the time -- probably much better now.

Best wishes on your future travels.
