Need your help and support.

I had applied MM2H last year and got approved through MM2H agent ****** (Very arrogant guy and doesn't know how to sever customers) with whom I had no issues at the beginning as someone else in Malaysia was dealing with him on my behalf, soonest the approval was given on the application he started demanding money in the name of Calling visa Letter, Insurance, medical certificate e.t.c and wanted me to buy all these things at his highly inflated prices which I refused and asked him to give release letter in the name of another agent who looked fairly reasonable at first. The release letter from the main agent too had a price of RM 1000 for which I protested and got the letter after several e-mails and phone calls in favour of MITIC Group (MM2H) Sdn Bhd

This new agent (MITIC Group (MM2H) Sdn Bhd) was very efficient in the beginning and would reply to my messages and calls even at 2 AM! but soonest the money was transferred for calling visa letter he vanished all of sudden! He promised to get Calling visa in 2 days but I received it in about 3 months. I took a flight on 27th Aug 2018 to get the final step done (MM2H sticker) which took 2 days to get sorted, on 29th My passport was handed back by the agent but all the original documents (F.D Certificates, Calling Visa Letter, Approval Letter, Health Insurance, Medical Certificates, Payment Receipts e.t.c) and cash RM 550 which I overpaid for visa fee by mistake has been retained by him and since 29th August 2018 to date I have sent him more than 50 messages to return the originals and cash but he does not respond to my message if he at all replies just says "Will do soonest"!.  My Friend who lives in KL have called him several times since then but he does not take a call.

I need your suggestions/support as who to report on his conduct, and how to get my documents and money back.

Your suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

Report them to the government programme www.mm2h.gov.my

You will get everything back
Don't worry
Call up mm2H

Gravitas

It would be important to get the Approval Letter back otherwise they can hold you hostage every time a passport expires and a visa needs transferring and of course when it comes to the renewal.

First step would be to formally request return of papers (MM2H keep the FD Certificate on file).

Set a final acceptable date for return
If not received MM2H will be approached
etc
etc

So that means I will not get back my FD certificates?

Gravitas

You got a letter confirming the bank had the FD had been placed and locked. That letter immigration keep. My bank kept the mm2h certificate on their files

My bank gave me the letter along with FD (2 Nos) which had been handed over to the agent for MM2H sticker. If All goes well I will get the documents back tomorrow.

I want to Apply for calling visa for my son, is it possible to do it on my own by visiting MM2H office or sending someone on my behalf? I don't trust these agents anymore, please suggest.

Thanks

MM2H allows "self-application". One does not need to use an agent, and it is vastly cheaper. People use agents mainly because of the convenience and experience of the agent in processing similar applications. Usually the agent requires the same information as you would have to give directly to MM2H and the Ministry of Immigration anyways. They may also provide a little help in finding housing, schools, lawyers, and other things that the government MM2H program doesn't dabble in.

Here is the branch of their site regarding self-application.

I thought you only needed to amend the passport number not apply for a whole new VDR.

A VDR is processed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs I believe not Immigration.
