Actually one of my friend was worked in Malaysia in an EP years passed ..He need to study in Malaysia and some of his relatives funding his studies ...my question is he was in EP for a year and now processing student visa is possible ?
I thought of Immigration would reject his application because they will think that he will come again to work ?
If rejected, how can I process his application again ? Else need to attend interview in India (counselate)?....
Need advice thanks and appreciation in advance

Everything is case-by-case through the established process by EMGS.

There is no reason why you shouldnt be approved for a student visa unless your passport shows some suggestion of ulterior motives. Hopefully there were no complications when on the EP and it was cancelled or expired without any hitches.

Going forward, if attendance requirements and academic progress were not maintained it could affect future Student Pass renewals.

Have you looked into this: https://www.mtep.my/ as a possible visa and business solution in Malaysia. Your local connections could be very useful.
