Hi Guys

We are considering moving to Kuala Lumpur from London  under mm2h.
We were wondering whether 10000 myr monthly would be sufficient to live comfortably for a family of three ?

Thanks in advance.

Easily sufficient income as long as rent is not too high. The largest retiree Mm2h cohort lives on Penang Island.  I've lived in KL and Penang and find the latter preferable.

Thank you Gravitas for your prompt reply.  Plan to have our youngest come with us and spend 2 years there doing his A levels and then he can come back to London for university.
I do have a business background and was wondering whether I could generate that kind of income locally within an investment of 500000  Myr?
Thanks again.

There are so many types of business prohibited to be owned and run 100% by foreigners. It is possible to have a Joint Venture with local Malaysians where the paid up capital required is rm 350,000.

This website may give some ideas - for information purposes - its always advisable when incorporating a company in Malaysia to use a Lawyer or Accountant and not an Agent.

There's a drop-down from "Investing in Malaysia" It would be advisable to get some idea of the overheads of owning a company these days, such as Company Secretary fees, premises, etc.

Thanks again Grabitas.
