How not to drive in Riyadh

Post new topic

Stéphane Goudezeune

Hi everyone,
I'll be new in Riyadh in September. Having been a totally spoilt and pampered expat in India for the past 14 years, I have lost the little driving skills I formerly had... Is it possible to do without a car in Riyadh, or hire a driver, and if so how much will I have to shell out?
Thanks,
Steven

You will definately require a vehicle in Riyadh.

Lots of families have drivers to drive the wife and children around.

If you require a driver you will need to supply the vehicle.

Taxi's are available in abundance.

Running a vehicle in Riyadh is not expensive, petrol is 0.45 SR per litre. (its cheaper than water)
