it's been quiet...

I've got quite a lot of things to do but ... should I say it or not?

My better half left me a couple of weeks ago, and I can't concentrate on anything at the moment. Can't say I am busy but I am "somewhere else"

Ooo - sorry to hear that. I can see how you'd be somewhere else. Not able to concentrate... Perfectly understandable!

You don't have to be sorry, don't worry. I should animate a little by more the website but I can't think about it at the moment.

Animate more??? You're already doing it very well! You participate to all the discussions, you never leave a topic without an answer, you always get interested in people's introductions and ask them relevant questions...

Personally I'm a bit lazy at the moment (because of the heat???). I regularly read the messages but don't take the time to reply. I'm also a bit sad because I'll soon have to leave Italy (and probably go back to Belgium) so I try to convince myself it isn't true by avoiding the topic!!!

Actually, when I mentioned it's been quiet, I was just referring to what seems to me to be a general drop in activity. But I think you do a great job with the forum! Really - we're all here because of you (obviously) but I think we also all stick around because of you. Probably a lot of people are like Pat - reading but not replying (nothing wrong with that!). That's usually me too. I never start new threads, so I thought I'd make the effort this time.

Pat - Sorry to hear you're leaving. There's always so much involved with leaving a place. I can understand the avoidance! Why are you leaving?

Julien: Sorry about your "somewhere else" feeling.  But you are doing a great job here.  I just found it and already check in almost every day.

As to the drop in activity, I guess it's partly World Cup.  But I'm here just about every day and don't always post because I just don't know what to say.  I'm new and still nervous about starting topics! (Not that I have a bunch of ideas rolling around in my head or anything)

Take your time. Time will heal the wounds.
A word of advice of an old fart who has 'Been there and done that', try to find something which forces you to set you mind on it, so you can forget about your problems for a while. It helps!

Thanks for your support and your friendship guys. Don't worry, I'll feel better one day. I just hope it won't take me too much time to think about something else.

How can we make the website more active? I've got a few ideas, like trying to push up the contributions in the resources-wiki ... I must write something about it as soon as I'll get enough time.

Have to go back to work on the site I depend on (I was detached here for a temporary mission).

If I had left for a new place, at least there'd have been a bit of excitement. And I've lived all too long "in the north" (I realise I feel more Mediterranean than European, but that's another debate). Anyway... still one month left, a miracle can happen in the meantime

Not in holidays too (don't have time for that), but we have a lot of work (as usual, i know )... but I visit this board twice a day

Yes Gary, my database was duplicated and I had to manually sort out everything (it stressed me a bit by the way). Everything should be ok now, and we're on a new server!

I am new to this site- very cool! Actually home sick for a few days so spending lots of time online. Hopefully better before holidays in a few weeks! Julien is this site your creation?

Yep far from being finished but little by little ...

We've been zooming around between various relatives in our *whisper* 2 and a half month holiday. Quite a lot of the time we have been beyond the reach of the internet but we should be back to the civilised world soon.
