hi all,
seems so trivial but wondering if anyone knows where i can get sour cream from in istanbul?
i am aware of some creams, yoghurts and soft cheeses as substitutes but they are just not the same.
i travel too far to bring it with me each year.
the migros store with expat goodies in it does not carry it.
prior to 2015, i know there was not - now i am looking again in case somewhere has started importing it.

Every pharmacy sells such creams . You should ask for am medicinr called bengay

PINAR is still producing it but not supplying to markets like MİGROS anymore as there is no demand in turkish cuisine. it is only available in METRO market.
maybe there are some other brands available in some leading delicatessens which sell imported cheese and meat appealing to foreigners' taste..

Lol I read that as sore cream:) you can find them in fatih region. Look for "kadınlar pazarı"
