Import Stuff to Saudi

Post new topic

Hi everyone,

I want to order some products from China to sell them locally in Saudia, how would that work? Does it make a difference in the quantity of products you order in terms of paper work and licences? What do I need and what are the procedures?

P.S. I'm not an authorized seller, just saw some cool stuff in China that I'd like to order to sell it to friends and family.

Practically speaking, to import and resell legally, you need to have a CR i.e. commercially registered company that allows you to do that.

Small quantities i.e. amounts that can pass for personal use; you can bring in.  Reselling those is still illegal but if it is friends and family and you don't advertise, it should not attract any attention.

How much of a quantity can pass for personnal use?

Depends on the item really.  If it is a non-dutiable item, say, small toys, then probably max 3-4 similar toys could get through under the umbrella of gifts but not 10-20.  If it is dutiable then nothing will get through without payment.

Check Saudi customs site for the duty regulations and use common sense.
