New: Nepal business directory

Post new topic

Julien

Hi,

there is something new on Expat.com!

We designed a new section dedicated to the companies of Nepal and their services: the Nepal business directory.

Professionals can now present their activity on Expat.com. We offer them two ways of doing it :

> a simple listing, with phone number and address. For free.

> a "premium" listing with a logo, description + a dedicated page with a complete description of their services and products (with pictures, localization on a map). For a reasonable price per year, payable online.

We will now be able to respond to companies' demands in terms of visibility on https://www.expat.com. We also hope this will meet your expectations since you will have access to a list of all the companies offering products and services to expatriates.

Do you think that section is a good idea?

Please do not hesitate to post your thoughts and comments!

Thanks,

Julien

Hi Julien,

I think a business directory for expats or wannabe expats is a great service, but I think the current format might not be the best.

I'm an expat, and went through a lot of hassle to find some of the companies I needed, just to get settled. I think it would be a great service if I could just add these companies to the business directory, just as a catagory, name and phonenumber, or maybe a web address, so that expats can find them. These companies themselves will never look or use expat-blog, so they will never enter themselves, which would be a pity for the expats trying to locate a service provider, for they will not find much and will have to take their search elsewhere.

Also this way you would fill your directory a lot faster with much better information, since I would only enter the companies which gave me a good service. Even better in my idea would be some kind of comments function where a customer could leave feedback to a listed company?

The issue is that though I am a company owner and an expat, I would never advertise it here, since the services I provide are of no sepecific interest to expats. And the services that I know of, which are consequencial to other expats are not my business, although I would like to point out some to other expats.

Just my two cents...

Kind regards,

Jorge.

Julien

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Jorge, I'll think about all this. I agree with you, it would be quite interesting if everyone could add companies. And a review system would be nice too... Maybe for version 1.1 ? ( I have to think about it)
