Hello everyone,

Keeping fit during your time in Jordan is of utmost importance. How about sharing with us and your fellow expats how you keep healthy in your host country?

What are your daily health hacks in Jordan?

Do you exercise regularly? What is your go-to sport?

Do you manage to keep your diet healthy and balanced? How easy is it to maintain a balanced diet in Jordan? Are you able to find organic products easily?

Are there national or local incentives to foster a healthy lifestyle: sensitisation campaigns, sports infrastructure etc. ?

How much of your monthly budget is dedicated to keeping fit?

Please share your experience,

Priscilla

I walk at least for one hour a day.  I dont take sugar, tea and coffee , which helps me to have good quality sleep daily.  I drink lots of  water to stay hydrated.
Fresh fruits are my source of sugar.  Bananas especially are 60 phils a kilo downtown.  They are super cheap at downtown market.  I prefer a low carb diet because fresh vegetables are affordable and fresh downtown.   I rarely eat red meat..once in a blue moon.  My comfort food as snack .....sunflower seeds.  Super cheap downtown.  Once a week I treat myself with  canafe.  To be safely healthy ...I never buy and touch any canned food.  I have never been sick since I came here 6 years ago.  I make the point of eating local fresh food daily....fresh fruits..herbs...oils  and vegetables ...all from Jordan.

You are doing good.. great ideas to follow ..
Have you tried foot reflexology to ease stress and balance your endocrine glands

cakacaka2013

No..but I substitute foot reflexology with dipping my feet in warm water.  When my feet get too warm then I take them out of the water and then repeat .  ..several times.  This process is also like reflexology..the nerve ends on both feet are stimulated.    Very relaxing.  Pay nothing for it.
