Hello. My name is Michelle and I am a freelance photo stylist in Chicago looking to expand my work options abroad. I have 14 years of experience styling bedding, apparel, and tabletop product (dishware, beauty products, etc.). I am looking for information on how to freelance in Berlin's commercial photography industry. I would love to work on new projects as a photo stylist or consult as a stylist trainer/mentor to those looking to improve their skills or the skills of their employees. I would love any assistance in connecting to this industry and information on how to obtain a freelancer work visa in Germany.

The formalities for working in Germany as a non-EU freelancer are very complicated.
It appears that photographers or stylists are not eligible for freelancer visa.
You better ask your nearest German embassy which visa type you need or if there is a chance at all. (Or you get a residence and work permit on other grounds, e.g. by marrying a German, and then have free access to the labour market.)

Thanks for the info. I have done some research but most of it is focused on non-EU citizens who want to live in Germany full time. That is not what I am looking for so I doubt this is an option for me. Thanks again.
