Exploring Veraguas this summer

Was in Veraguas prob last year for two weeks and fell in love with the rainforest areas. Surfing playa riena area. Want to revisit this summer for one month. Might relocate from here ( pacific side of Mexico). Guess we will fly into Panama City but need some wheels for a month. Would like to camp and hit some B n Bs while surfing. Anybody know the best economical way to rent a vehicle for a month?? Thanks and gracias!! Troy

Hi Troy,

You'll have to come to Santa Catalina if you're on a surf tour. It's also the best spot to launch for a dive trip to Coiba. The New York Times just did an extensive article on the top 19 places to visit (in the world) for 2019. Looks like Santa Catalina came in strong. Very good for Panama:

Check out Lago Bay on airbnb if you're coming in with a group (lagobay.com). If you are traveling solo, I'd recommend Surfer's Paradise. Italo (owner of Surfer's Paradise), from Brazil, has an amazing spot that is right at the Point's break.
