Hello Everyone, my name is Imane currently living in Canada of Algerian Origin. I am 27 years old, I earned my Master in Natural Medicine and I am currently majoring in Acupuncture. I speak Arabic and English and a tiny bit of french, although I understand it much better than I speak it :)

My family (2 brothers and parents) are considering to move to Turkey. I would love to practice Acupuncture there and volunteer teach kids Arabic & English ^_^
My father works in the Aircraft industry and my older brother (visually impaired) wants to teach braille and  Microsoft Software usage in daily life or in administration.

If anyone had any information with regards to process of application with the Turkish government, info about living in Turkey as a newcomer, and ofcourse cities or places in turkey with demand to the fields of work I mentioned (Aircraft, Braille Instructor, Acupuncturist) please kindly share it with me. It would mean so much to me and my family. Thank you all and wish everyone good luck 💐☺️

Hi.  Alan from Sydney Australia.  Wife & I are fast approaching pension age which means we can flee to Turkey to live.  That's the idea anyways.

I have read one can buy an apartment/s for a total of about 1.5 million lira and after some paper work etc. sooner or later you are a turkish citizen and can live there.

I need to chat with people who have some knowledge of this or can direct meto  others who can help.

Love to chat with another who has done this as the companies on line are a bit pushy.

Please let me know if you can help me.

Hello All,

Joined few moments back. Oh well I am in the phase of travelling to Turkey to look for business opportunities with limited budget.

For whatever info I gathered so far from the internet is that it is imperative to get the Residence permit first as to means of staying legally.

Furthermore, a new country means one need local people / expats living to guide hence joining this forum.

Hoping to hear from some of the pros soon.

Cheers People and have a great weekend.

whitehatnomad

Welcome Iurooj

Depending on your budget in my opinion finding a flat in Istanbul can be the most challenging part.

Bhavna

Hello everyone,

Welcome to Expat.Com  :)

How about you, Whitehatnomad, have you been successful in finding a flat ?

All the very best,
Bhavna

whitehatnomad

Thank you Bhavna

No, but I've learned a lot.
I like to share my experiences with finding a flat.

Does expat.com has the ability to share experiences? Like a blog post?

Bhavna

If you have time and wish to share your experience, you can submit an article : https://www.expat.com/en/add-guide/middle-east/turkey/

Feel free to post your own "looking for" advert in the Housing in Turkey section section, your search will definitely benefit from more visibility.
