Finding employment

Hi. I will be moving to Phuket at the end of May to further my bartending knowledge abroad. Wondering how easy or hard it is to find bartending jobs in Phuket.

Hi Taylor, the hospitality sector offers opportunities to expats but in very limited areas. Executive Chefs, senior management and f&b managers. I'm sure there are other positions that are filled by expats but these I know for sure especially in the high end 5* hotels. Having said that, bar tenders are typically filled by TCN's as the salary is fairly low. However, there is the "European Bar Tender School" who was located in Patong and has recently moved to Kata Beach. They are a global company based out of Europe with 28 schools worldwide. They can be found online and might be able to guide you with regards to job prospects. Good luck!
