Dears,

Any advice on good options for weekend+1 getaways from Muscat Airport to beyond GCC? (already did Dubai and Salalah)

Say, depart Wednesday night and back Saturday night/Sunday morning?

Was thinking Georgia, Turkey, Malaysia, Thai, any other destinations within 5-6 hours flight max?

Is this doable, pls share any good experience.

Any advice on discount airlines, promos is also welcome :-)

Hi Paul_K,

Definitely doable ...

You must seriously consider India and Sri Lanka, to begin with.

You could break India into three parts - top, middle, and bottom.

Plan individual trips to each of these parts, since India, as you probably are aware, is a huge subcontinent, that would demand more of your time to enjoy and to experience.

Sri Lanka is a relatively smaller destination which can be covered in one trip.

However, if you love the local culture, heritage, cuisine, sights and sounds, you will be tempted to make multiple visits to Sri Lanka, just as you would to India !
