Good day. My name is Dylan (just an alias) im 27 year old. Im an Arab muslim from Egypt. Now i met my current wife in Egypt she is a malay from penang, she was studying there we been together and decided to get married. We been married 2 years in Egypt and then decided to move to malaysia so here im in Penang for almost 2 years now. We have a little boy together she gave birth here so i registered the boy as a Malaysian. Anyway for reasons that doesn't concern the topic i can't be with her and her family anymore so i want to divorce. Also would like to marry another malaysian she is sarawakian and she ia willing to convert to marry me. Honestly i prefer if she doesn't have to convert malaysia laws are ridiculous. Now i have a spouse visa on my current wife. How do i divorce her and marry the sarawakian and have a spouse visa with her? And if my current wife decides to divorce me early what can i be doing to not get deported? I don't want to go back to Egypt the economy is very bad. Jobs are useless there.
Thanks for taking the time to read this

If you divorce you will need to return to Egypt or elsewhere at least temporarily as spouse visas are not transferable.

You can divorce your wife and that is a separate matter. You will need a Single Certificate to remarry.

How about i want to marry the sarawakian she is a Christian Adventist is it possible without her having to convert to Islam? Back in Egypt it's possible for a muslim man to marry a non muslim wife

You are not Malaysian so local marriage laws won't apply. However they would if you wanted to marry as a Muslim in Malaysia, where conversion and a list of other requirements apply. Simplest to take it step by step. Divorce*. Return to Egypt. Remarry. New spouse applies for Spouse Visa

Check Sarawak immigration processes. FSSGMY may be helpful.

*current SVP needs to be cancelled.

Is your current visa cancelled until the divorce is finalized?

At divorce or when it expires and wife does not renew. Depends how angry the wife and family are. If a couple is no longer cohabiting and it has become a marriage of convenience this can have consequences where immigration dept step in and deport. Tip offs are usually behind these cases.
