Hi,

I'm a 46 year old Englishman currently living in Hurghada, Egypt, and feel it may be time for a change.

I have a regular (but limited) income and Bali strikes me as a place that could suit me.

Advice on surviving on around $1500 a month (private rent, don't want to share) near a beach, with internet access (priority) would be appreciated.

I don't need much, just a clean small apartment/shack, electric, the internet, and a view.

Hope to be chatting to you all soon.

I know little of Bali prices but, assuming they're anything like Jakarta prices, you'll be fine on that sort of money as long as you don't go boozing every night.

Thanks to both of you,

I don't know Bali at all, so I'm probably planning a trip there in September to do a recce.

I'm still collecting info and while Bali isn't the cheapest of my possible destinations, it does look very inviting.

Regards,

Lee
