Poetry & Nostalgia

Post new topic

EasternLady

Growing up, the Cherry Blossom tree in the garden was a big part of my life. It was a beauty to see in full bloom and sometimes a nuisance when its flowers would fall in the Autumn.

This post is a poem that i have written regarding my Cherry Blossom tree and the inevitable nostalgia that arises from life on the move, as an expat.

keep it up. Its really good to be creative and imaginative

Thanks, i didnt know how cathartic the effect of writing could be to a person.

I would definately encourage it.

I have penchant for writing. I even have a fiction prose I wrote which has not been published. I like seeing budding writers who truly want to perpetuate literature. I encourage you to keep it up regardless of some predicaments that may seem to be encumbering the zeal.

Judging by your vocabulary you certainly seem very well read!

hahaha EasternLady, I appreciate your remark. You are also well read because not everyone can write a poem. I have discovered that poetry is the most difficult and problematic of all the genres. In spite of that, you have its knowledge in your fingertips. I really would love to have some time with you discussing literature and the act of writing. I wish you more power to your elbow.
