Do you really understand your child ?

Hello,

Last day, I happened to visit one of my friend's house.  My friend was so upset and I enquired the reason.  He has got a son, who, according to him, had created so much problems that there is no peace of mind prevailing in that home.  He wrecklessly has beaten up the child out of frustration.  Late night, some one knocked at my door.  To my surprise,it was my friend's son.  He told me that he was sent out of his home for another terrible mistake.

I asked him, "My boy, do you think, what you are doing is correct ?".  He had got no answer.  After couple of hours, I went to him and asked "Are you angry with your parents?"

Do you know the answer, boy gave to me, "If at all I love any one from my heart, it is only my father, I love him more than my life."

Now I throw a question to you, Do you understand your child ?  It is for sure and certain that He or She loves you more than what you think.

Take care of them and more than that, please understand them before you resort to hard core punishment out of your frustration, for they have no one other than you.

or maybe..the way parents show that they understand their children is not on the way that expected by their children..

i have no kids right now but all of us came from being a kid, raising kids its hard. when kids growing they will adapt the sorrounding itself and the way the parents nurture them. So i guess it depends on how the kids was raised.

So true and I understand my kids and I love them very deeply and they love me back.

Kids nowadays have it all going.
Here in uk you cant spank them on butt or lay a finger on then...you get arrested.

I have a 20 year old girl, she has never been in trouble, no police at door, no drugs.
I warned her if any of that happened you are safer at police station than at home. She knows i mean it.
If she goes out with a friend she tells me where they going.
She would also get a grounding from hell, as she lives under my roof.
I do get the 'you dont understand' stomping up stairs and slaming of room door and the attitude every now and then, but she knows just how much i will stand for it.

i agree kids should not be spank, best is still communciation. I've seen worst here they rather hit the kids head than spank them on the buttocks. :dumbom:
