Hi friends.....

My husband has got an offer of 2500USD for the post of legal adviser in TWIGA CHEMICALS,along with free accomodation+domestic help,electricity n water charges,car,family visa,air ticket for the whole family once in a yr,n medical cover...in DAR ES SALAM.
cud anybody tel me is this a good offer???kindly provide me adequate information regarding the company TWIGA CHEMICALS..
Also share ur knowledge regarding recorded n off recorded salary earned in tanzania and its tax implications...

Hi,

You need to know is $2500 is gross salary or net salary in hand.

You need to convert the $2500 in Tanzanian currency USD rate is approx 1500.

So lets take $2500 = TSH. 3,750,000/-
10% diducted for NSSF (Providend Fund) = 375,000/-
Once you have diducted the 375000/- from 3,750,000/-

enter the salary amount on to the below website (which will give you govt tax diduction)

http://www.tra.go.tz/documents/Paye.htm

then Government tax = 909000/-
so in hand you will get 2,466,000/- in other words $1644/- in hand you will get (these calculation is if ur husband is offered 2500/- gross.)

above is the government website you can get the answers for your query.

But overall if its 2500$ in hand + the facility then its a good offer.
