RSteeleRNIT

Sincere Desire to move to Europe for last 10 years of career.  Coming from USA - Registered Nurse with extensive Clinical and Administrative Experience and success.  As Well 10 years of  Healthcare IT... Electronic Health record, Clinical/Operational Transformation and project management. Did 6 month project in London in 2015. Finding it very hard to get foot in the door anywhere, and As much as we take foreign nurses in the USA,  There doesn't seem like alot of opportunity for us outside USA. Open to all area's.  London/UK, Spain and Ireland would be first choices , but very open.  Appreciate anyone's thoughts, ideas or experiences.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

Not sure why you're encountering problems as the UK is constantly recruiting overseas medical professionals.  The UK National Health Service has a web-page especially for this and this link will take you straight there.

I wish you the best of luck.

Hope this helps.

Hello,

There are no more barriers for you than there are for many others. It's up to you to adapt to the system. Not the contrary.

Competent nurses are sought everywhere. But they still need to demonstrate their skills other than on paper only. Some people do it and some do not, it's life.

Now there is also the financial aspect, the expectations of each are different. As well as the feeling about the integration of the person.
