Leaving Mid-Contract

Hi guys,

Me and my wife are considering moving to Qatar within the next 5 years to work for a few years before returning back to the UK. The motivation is mainly financial with us both having careers that are well paid in Qatar.

One of our main concerns is a pretty basic one in that we get partially through our contract of employment and find living over there unbearable. For myself, most of the job adverts state 3-year contracts. I've read a little bit about employment laws in Qatar but struggled to find a decent answer to this, but if say I wanted to head back to the UK one year into a 3-year contract, would I be able to or would I be contractually bound to remain in Qatar until my employment contract ceases?

As far as I know,  you can cancel your visa anytime you want, but if you do it within the first one of your job contract you will be to excluded to enter Qatar for 2w years.
