Applying for a job whilst on family visa?

Hello we are considering moving to Oman muscat in couple of months. My husband has a teaching job and he will be sponsoring me and my 2 children on a family visa. (We are from London) can i apply for a learning assistent or administrative positions whilst on a family visa? How easy /difficult is it to secure a job for a british national?
Would be grateful for any response.

Hi Yeasmin,

For an expatriate to be employed, the person must hold an employment visa and must be employed only for the employer / sponsor whose name is printed on the employment visa / resident card. No other kind of employment is allowed by the law of the land.

Securing a job - irrespective of the nationality - also depends on a wide variety of combinations and permutations such as the demand and supply ratio, the position, the qualifications, the experience, the salary, the perks, the benefits, and so much more.
