Where to hang? Phnom Penh!

Post new topic

Justin_87

Hey guys!

I just arrived here, and I'm working as a Teacher. Had a few good nights out at the riverside but I've only been meeting tourists so far!

Where do the expats hang out? I got a big surprise when I bought my first beer, 60c!:D Much better compared to $5 a beer in Sydney!

Cheers guys, hope to hear back from you!

Justin

Riverside is a good spot. So is street 278. Just south of the Independence Monument. Meeting expats is quite difficult outside of work here. This website has been good for organizing meet-ups and stuff. Think we might be having another expat session next week if you're interested. Usually somewhere on street 278. You'll usually find a big group of us at Touk on a friday evening as well, making the most of happy hour if you ever want to join us. Touk's on riverside just opposite FCC.

Hope you're settling in ok. Phnom Penh is a great place to live.

Sam :)

Hi Justin,

Welcome to Expat-blog! :)

Hey, I've been here a few weeks (also teaching) and am also looking for new and exciting people to meet! It can be hard to meet non-tourists around here if you're not working with other expats. I'm working near St 278 so maybe I'll invite myself along to the next get-together when a date gets set ;)
