Obtaining tourist visa in Oman

As per the current rule is it possible for an expat to enter Oman on tourist visa after cancellation of employment visa? Or is a NOC mandatory even for a tourist visa ?

Hi ekta1987,

From the last reports that I have, the NOC is NOT NEEDED now to return to Oman on a tourist visa.

At some point prior, they were asking for the NOC to be produced to return to Oman - ON ANY VISA - after cancelling an employment visa, if it is before 2 years from the date of departure.

Only when the tourist visa application is submitted for issuance would one know for certain what the latest status on this is.
