Health check before entering UAE

Post new topic

Hi all,
We have been hearing about incidents of deporting due to health check results.

A person goes through lots of process - searching for job, interviews, HR rounds & visit to Dubai etc etc. Person has to visit Health center within few days of Arrival & work visa is issued only after health reports are good. Person is deported if health results are negative.

Current requirement for Dubai is - HIV, Hepatitis B, Leprosy, Active TB/pulmonary TB
Does it all apply to IT Professionals?

Does it make sense to do health check in current country before evening applying a job in UAE? This will save lots of time for person before deportation situation even arrives.
Person can just stop applying for jobs in Dubai due to health reports in current country.

Kindly advice.

@XTang
You have been helping a lot on this forum. Can you please suggest?

1) The health checks apply to EVERYONE seeking to become resident in UAE
2) When you get a job offer, you MUST do a check in your home country before coming to the UAE.  In most cases, it is with a GAMCA accredited clinic.  And this is for exactly the reasons that you mentioned above
