can i apply for occupational permit while spouse visa is in progress?

Hi,
I recently got married to my wife who is a Mauritian.
I recently applied for my spouse residence permit and at the same time, got a job offer.

Due to the new law which explains that a spouse must apply for a work permit after the spouse permit has been issued(which takes about 4 months).

My question is, is it possible to have a parallel application for an occupational permit?

Will the prospective job fall in this category:

Professional: Basic salary should exceed MUR 60,000 monthly. However, the basic salary for professionals in the ICT Sector should exceed MUR 30,000 monthly.
