Hello Everyone- I have a simple generic question about border-runs. I have a one-year multi-entry visa for Vietnam. I am required to exit the country every nine days. In the past, I have flown to a neighbor country, spent one night and returned to Vietnam the next day. Can I avoid the time and money to spend one night in another country by stamping out of Vietnam in the morning and returning later the same day? Based on people who do land border crossings, I assume this is no problem. Can anyone please confirm this?!? Thanks, Dennis~

It varies depending where you are based. Your post is on the Viet Nam forum, you need to say exactly where you are in VN.

Do you mean Nine days or Nighty days?

Presumably, it's the 90 days exit for the one-year tourist visa for Americans.

In my opinion, you *should* be able to go to Moc Bai or another border crossing and immediately return to VN. However, ultimately, that's just my opinion as I'm not a visa agent.

Have you checked with your visa agent (or a visa agent if you got this visa yourself) about this question? A visa agent can confirm, but we can only guess.

Or could it be Nighty night? :/:dumbom::joking:

Sorry, couldn't resist.   :thanks:

Yes, I meant to say "NINETY" days. (I should have taken that Junior High typing class when I had the chance!)
BTW- a NINE day visa is something the Thailand Immigration Dept. might be considering! :)

Thailand is making a number of changes in its rules regarding expats. I'm seeing a lot of complaints on the boards.

When these people leave Thailand, I can enter.
I love regular life as you can find it in Singapore.
Many come to Southeast Asia because there are anarchy-like conditions here. When these people disappear it can only go up with these countries.
Thailand or also Mallorca do it right and fight the uncontrolled tourism and people who does't know how to behave.
