Moving to Barbados with a small dog (17 pounds)

Hello, I'm interested in knowing the procedure to bring a dog to Barbados from Canada.  The system used to be quite complicated involving a trip to the UK.  Can someone confirm that this has changed?

If this is still relevant to you, I have just brought my small dog from Canada to B's three days ago. Will be happy to share my experience.
