Hi looking for advice

Newbie to moving abroad single woman hoping to live and work in Canada for 2 years under a work sponsorship if possible ok so how do I do this? Do I apply for job vacancies and then figure out sponsorship? Do I need to pay £1000s to an agent to get me a Visa? Really want a job with relocation package I'm a forensic social worker specialising in risk assessing sex offenders but looking for any social work role in Canada

Hope you guys can put me in the right direction as researching on google hasnt helped or clarified anything for me!

I would recommend you to have a look at https://www.jobbank.gc.ca/home -  which is a legit source for the job seekers. In most cases, you would require a job offer so that the Canadian government can accept your stay for the long term.

Besides, go through  Work in Canada

Thank you for your advice this is where I start my journey 🙂 many thanks again

The information  on the websites is not clear as I'm unsure if need work permit as my employment is not in the list and on skilled workers limits amount days a week can work so confusing! I was told that social work is classed as an emergency service ? Not sure about this either no information online to confirm this for me?

My observations and suggestions are,

1.) Just find the suitable jobs from that job bank website which I shared earlier and start sending your resume, experience etc. - Make sure that you have a well-written Cover letter, Resume with precise details & a catchy email subject.

"Social Worker" search word returns 759 job listings on jobbank website

2.) LinkedIn is also a good way to touch with employers.

3.) If you have friends in Canada, check with them as well. Reference really matter to get a job.

4.) Find an organization which require your skills and experience(Google search using the keywords related to your profession) and write to them

5.) To make everything clear, contact a licensed immigration law firm I am sure they could help you out(I have been in touch with one if you want their contact feel free to reach on my PM). Besides, you can verify the law firm's license info from here - https://iccrc-crcic.ca/find-a-professional-frame/

I'm pretty sure that you will easily get a job thereby a work permit since you are from England. The only struggle for you is to get the right employer. The beginning is always hard, don't worry you will get :).

Thank you so much for your advice I've already made 4 job applications and now looking at licensed immigration firms
