East Asia Global Alliance is a project developer, specializing in sustainable technology projects.  We have a client that insists he wishes to bring a Mercedes GLC 350  to Vietnam from the USA where he will purchase it. We brought several vehicles, two Peterbilt Trucks and a Class 3 motorhome to Vietnam  9 years ago.  It was actually quite simple.  Since then the import regulations have substantially changed and appear to be in a constant state of flux.  With all the various taxes and fees, most of which are compounded on the previous ones, I feel that it would be in our best interest to find someone that has recent experience in this field.  Can any one help me or point me to someone that can.

Peterbuilt trucks, a motorhome and a Mercedes GLC 350 certainly don't sound like sustainable technology.  Perhaps you could talk your client into a TESLA.  :gloria

The two peterbilts were specially built, all wheel drive with high ground clearance for a large mining operation we cleaned up and the motorhome was used for survey parties that spent weeks in remote sites in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.  This MBZ if a favor for a friend of a friend.  Makes no sense in Vietnam unless he went with e version.

I totally agree on the Tesla.  I have only seen one in Vietnam and that was in Hanoi about a year ago.  Are there Teslas in HCM.

Everyone talks about doing it.  Nobody does it once they run the numbers.  He's going to have to "settle" for a GLC300 as that is the largest one the MB dealers import now.  It's going to cost him 2,300,000,000 + about 12% in taxes and registration.
