Dear members,
My son came on family visa and it is going to expire soon. Under new jawazat rules, we need to have insurance for processing the iqama. Unfortunately my employer didn't provide me and my son with the insurance! May I know what will be the consequences and penalties for not applying for the iqama before visa expiry?!
Thanks in advance!

Your son needs to leave before visa expiry.  The worst that can happen in this case is that he has to apply from scratch for a family visa.

If he overstays, then he is staying illegally and that could lead to a whole bunch of consequences depending on the situation e.g. deportation, ban etc.
