Hello,
I have arrived and want to know more about the law and culture of doing business in Addis.
as it hard to find people who speak English.

Planning to start my international import and export business. Where all factories located, how are housing fee.

many warn its unsafe to go out  at night. And not all are trustable.

Kindly guide me.

It's pretty safe.   Like any big city be sensible.  Stick to well lit roads etc.  Daytime generally safe.  People are using 'RIDE' and the older blue taxis will be safe.  In terms of murder or assault the risk is very very low.  Petty thieving is possible, mobiles/pick pockets.    There is a risk of break-in of houses and apartments if there is no security service but if you are in a property its unlikely anyone will break in.

Thank you. Was great experience, I had mobile stolen in day light. At bole mekal Which very very bad there is no security and  law in city to protect these kind of mugging tourists not available.

business is ok. But people are not professional and no commitments.
After 6pm dangerous to walk around.
